As someone who has had to straddle multiple social and cultural expectations, my identity has felt like an Octopus constantly changing colour, shape, size and form. Unicorn will feel just like that – hilarious and devastating in the same breath, uproarious and camp whilst being gritty and gut punching, revelling in the sheer messiness of identity at every step, and the epic journey some people can go on just to feel like they truly belong.
